Anna Taratiel (Barcelona, 1982) began her artistic journey as OVNI, focusing on graffiti. Based in Barcelona, she has also lived in Amsterdam and Berlin. Educated in mural painting at Escola de La Llotja and art direction at Escola Elisava, her work blends colour and geometry, creating a personal language that balances reason and emotion.
Taratiel’s art is prominent both in galleries and on the streets, with exhibitions and murals in Spain, the Netherlands, Romania, Sweden, Italy, Germany, the USA, Brazil, and beyond. Her compositions emphasise precise geometry, colour, and structure, resulting in visually captivating works that engage with both viewers and urban spaces. Colour plays a crucial role, forging connections between her art and its environment. Taratiel continues to evolve her practice, pushing the boundaries of geometric abstraction and exploring new artistic interactions.

“For the London Mural Festival 2024, my mural was inspired by the exposed mechanics of the Leadenhall Building, designed by one of the architects of the Pompidou Centre. I painted respirators shaped like trumpets, playing with geometric lines and bold colour contrasts to blend with the building's unique style. My work connects with the architecture by interacting with its shapes and structures.”
