Essex-born artist. Scotty Brave graduated Croydon College in the mid-90’s. By his late teens, he had become known for being one of the pioneers of spray-can-art workshops in the UK. Delivering hundreds of events for schools, youth clubs, secure units, and PRU's. He has been a consistently active contributor to the UK graffiti/street art scene for almost 3 decades!
While working commercially, Scott has also continued to paint hundreds of his own pieces hidden from the public and only seen by other graffiti artists, urban explorers, or trespassers! In recent years, the development of a signature style has emerged, namely the “glitched portraits’ he paints in the style of corrupted image files. The temporary nature of his art is something Scott has been reflecting on recently, and he is currently exploring where his work and his experiences sit within the flourishing street art scene.
“I painted in Brixton; the format of the wall dictated that I used both my love for lettering and character design. I have a signature style that has emerged out of working with artists who create images by corrupting digital image files and painting the glitches. My LMF piece explores how that process has crashed into my approach to street art. I painted it alongside Tizer ID.”
