Venessa Scott
Venessa Scott, also known as Vee, is a prolific public artist from the North of England. Recognised widely for her contribution to the arts and cultural sector in Manchester, her vibrant and joyful patterns can be seen on walls, buildings and floors across the UK.
She says “Colour, pattern, and human connection are the core themes in my work. I have a true passion for colour as a communicator and believe that is a powerful vehicle for expressing and influencing emotion. In addition to colour I use pattern in my work to speak of human connection and joy.”
You can find her new mural for London Mural Festival as part of a trio of female artists’ work, including Hixxy and Zoe Power in Canary Wharf.
“Connection, particularly human connection is a massive theme in my work so I truly cannot wait to create my piece for the festival and also to experience the work of some of my favourite artists from around the world. Its going to be ace!”Vee
