Announcing our Schools Competition

The London Mural Festival Schools Competition gives you the chance to revitalise your school with a new, fully funded mural designed by your students!

The competition is open to all state primary and secondary schools across London.

We’re looking for mural designs that celebrate the theme of “Connection” as part of London Mural Festival 2024, one of the world’s biggest celebrations of street art, coming to the capital this September.

So, if you have a neglected space at your school that’s in need of colour and life, this is your opportunity to transform it and celebrate your pupils’ creativity!

Get creative with your students this summer!

The London Mural Festival Schools Competition is open to all state primary and secondary schools in any of the 32 London boroughs.

Only one entry is allowed per school.

1. Choose your space
Where in your school would you like the mural to be? It needs to be no more than 5 metres wide by 3 metres high. Take some photos to share with us.

2. Get creative with your students
We’re looking for murals that explore the theme of “connection.” You can only enter one design per school, but it’s up to you whether you ask your students to create something together as a team, or you could run a mini competition within your school and submit the winning design. You could even stitch individual drawings or paintings together to create one big piece! (Just make sure it’s submitted as one file or design.)

3. Enter online – by Friday 26th July

Entries are now closed.

How it works

Winners will each receive a fully funded mural painted in September as part of London Mural Festival 2024.
